Lynne Mackay is pleased to host a Business Etiquette Session for incoming Summer Students: How to have a Successful Summer: “Making a Great First Impression” This session is designed to help students get comfortable with the internal social events and receptions they’ll be attending over the summer.
The beginning of interactions is important…the most important. The primacy effect states that people will remember and be more influenced by the beginning of an interaction than any other part. This high impact three hour workshop provides practical advice all professionals can use to begin any interaction in the best possible way. Interactions include meeting a person for the first time, the opening of a presentation, a voice message, writing an email, presenting on skype. Knowing what to say, and how to say it at the beginning breeds the confidence and composure needed for the rest of the interaction.
Building a Referral Business for Genworth Canada in April
To galvanize professional support from existing and prospective clients is the best and easiest way to grow your business. Given this is the case, it’s surprising that 80% of clients would give a referral, yet only 20% are ever asked. The resistance to ask is based on a myriad of unrealistic concerns: rejection, asking too much, lack of confidence, etc. This course lays to rest the concerns, and teaches the skills necessary to be confident and effective in garnering referrals.
